For exploring the city
La Rochelle is served by several bus routes, many of which pass close to the hotel. Of particular note is the number 51 service, which takes travellers directly onto the Ile de Ré.
The City has also developed alternative modes of transport, and offers both self-service bikes and non-polluting electric vehicles (Yélomobile), and hydro-solar-powered boats for the transport of sea passengers (Bus de Mer, Passeur).
